Lamar Country Club is a 9-hole, par 35, semi-private golf facility with a park like atmosphere. While we maintain a stable membership base, we also allow and encourage public play.
Club facilities include golf course, clubhouse with full service bar, and golf shop. We welcome tournaments, social and special events, and group meetings. Check the calendar of events for specific dates.
Lamar Country Club opened in 1952. The designer was Hood-Rich Architects out of Springfield, MO with local businessman, Frank Horton, overseeing the project. The greens were originally built as sand greens and their shape and slopes have been maintained throughout the years. A good short game is a must as most greens slope dramatically from back to front. The golf course features bermuda tees and fairways with bent grass greens.
A total renovation of the clubhouse was completed in September 2005. Because of those renovations, our facility can host up to 100 guests comfortably.
